Fine Tune Your SEO Title and Meta Descriptions

Great SEO is a major focus and benefit of Butter. We've shown how Butter can help you achieve 40% better SEO than going the typical CMS route with Wordpress, Tumblr, etc. We also recently launched a nice SEO booster with Next and Previous post which allows you internally link your posts together.
Today we're excited to announce fully customizable SEO Title and Meta Descriptions for your blog posts, a great complimentary feature to customizable post url slugs.
First you'll notice that we moved the post meta fields below the main editor and they're always expanded. We've found these fields are heavily used, and with custom SEO fields, we expect them to be used even more so we wanted to make them more accessible. We also introduce a tabbed layout to better group related field types.
Along side these new SEO fields, we provide a real-time preview of what your blog post will look like in search engine results:
We've also updated our Django and Ruby on Rails plugins to automatically take advantage of this great new functionality. For existing customers, simply use the post.seo_title and post.meta_description attributes in your <title> and <meta description> tag respectively. Easy as that.
