# Adding media to content

> Learn how to insert images and files into your blog posts and content fields using the ButterCMS Media Library.

## Adding media to content

### WYSIWYG fields

Within a blog post, add media to the body using the WYSIWYG field:

1. Click on the **Insert from Media Library** button on your WYSIWYG toolbar.

2. Choose the file you want to add. If you've uploaded it previously, it will show up in your Media Library. Otherwise, upload a new one by clicking on **Upload Media**.

### Media fields

1. Click the Media field.
2. Select or upload a file.
3. The field stores the asset URL.
