What is team presence?
The Team Presence feature notifies you at the top of a page when a team member is viewing the same content in ButterCMS as you. This helps avoid conflicts and enables everyone to stay in sync.
How it works
When you open a Page, Blog Post, or Collection Item:- Real-time indicator - A banner appears at the top showing which team members are currently viewing the same content
- Avatar display - Team member avatars are shown so you can quickly identify who’s working on the content
- Automatic updates - The presence indicator updates in real-time as people join or leave
Team Presence helps prevent editing conflicts by letting you know when someone else might be making changes to the same content.
